Thread rolling for maximum strength
Cold-forming displaces material to create thread profiles rather than cutting them. Rolling produces work-hardened surfaces with compressive residual stress, delivering higher fatigue strength than cut threads. Material savings of 15–20% versus cutting, with no chips or swarf.
Thread milling for flexibility and safety
Unlike tapping, thread milling tools are smaller than the hole diameter and move in a helical path to cut threads. Advantages include: single tool cuts multiple thread sizes, no risk of broken tap stuck in the part, ideal for large diameters (3/4" and above), and works well in tough materials.
Precision grinding for critical threads
