Comparison Of High-Frequency Quenched Parts With Conventional Heating Quenching

High-frequency quenching is a typical process of induction heating quenching. Compared with conventional induction heating quenching (integral furnace heating quenching), it differs significantly in principle, process performance, and applicable scenarios.

 

1. Extremely fast heating rate, expanding the A-body transformation temperature range and shortening the transformation time.

2. The surface layer of the quenched workpiece yields extremely fine cryptocrystalline martensite, with slightly higher hardness (2-3 HRC). It also exhibits lower brittleness and higher fatigue strength.

3. Workpieces treated with this process are less prone to oxidation and decarburization; some can even be directly assembled and used after treatment.

4. Deep hardened layer, easy to control and operate, and easy to mechanize and automate.

5. Flame surface heating quenching.
